Police Officers Shot During Protests After Ferguson Police Chief Resigns

Wednesday morning a suspect led Columbia (IL) police on a high speed chase that crossed state lines. Due to the suspect reaching a speed of 115 mph Columbia police stopped pursing the suspect as he drove into Missouri.

The suspect who is wanted for an incident that occurred the night before in Illinois, drove his vehicle to Itaska and Nebraska (in South St. Louis) and parked his car in an open garage.

According to neighbors he then broke into a home and fled through the front door.

The car has since been towed but the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is still searching for the suspect.
