DaBaby might as well be the most consistent rapper of the first quarter of 2020. His new album “Blame it on Baby” takes the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums according to an article by Keith Caulfield on billboard.com. Can we talk about the title track “Blame it on Baby” though? Following the footsteps of other modern artists such as Lil Uzi, Drake & Future, and Travis Scott the beat flips, and its utterly amazing.
His flow now seems at home conforming to each beat like a magician pulling multicolored rabbits out of the listener’s hat. Another track “Nasty” featuring Megan thee Stallion and Ashanti is catered toward women but has the update of classic tracks for us old heads, the bridging of two different demographics is prevalent. All in all, I don’t think DaBaby is finished this year and might drop another album this fall at this rate.
Overall I give the album an 8/10. How Do you feel about DaBaby’s new album Blame it on Baby? Sound off below
