ESPN Analyst, Adrian Wojnarowski, announced this evening that the NBA will be allowing teams to reopen their practice facilities for voluntary individual practices ONLY, starting May 1st.

For players in cities where the stay at home order is not being loosen the NBA is still trying to find a solution and all team practices will still be prohibited.



Also starting on May 15th the NBA and the NBA Players Union agreed the NBA can start withholding 25% of players paychecks, due to no games being played.

Here’s where would be if the NBA hadn’t shut down:

  • The first round of the playoffs would’ve started April 18th.
  • The NBA Finals would be played starting June 25th.
  • The NBA Draft would’ve been (and still will be) held on June 25th with the draft lottery taking place on May 19th.
  • Also the WNBA would be gearing up for its 24th season to begin on May 15th.
