Over the weekend Magen Pete aka Megan Thee Stallion made headlines again when she signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
But let’s be clear Megan’s road to the top hasn’t been easy and that’s why you have no choice but to root for the “Hot Girl.” Let’s take a look back on Megan’s journey to signing with Roc Nation.
Megan goes viral.
In April of this year Megan did an interview with Vulture where she detailed the first time her freestyle went viral on campus. And how the encouragement from friends led her to doing the “Houston Cypher,” which sparked the Stallion’s rap career. She recalls ” I killed it, and everybody was like, “What?” So then that just went crazy, and I’m like, “Dang, y’all like that? Okay. I got some more.”

Megan releases her 1st Mixtape.
After garnering attention on social media, thanks to her cypher verse, Megan released her debut mixtape “Rich Ratchet,” in 2016.
The STALLI Freestyle leads to a record deal.
Megan signed to former MLB star Carl Crawford’s record label, Certified 1501 Ent, following the success of both her EP “Make It Hot” and her “Stalli Freestyle.”

Meet Megan Thee Stallion’s alter-ego Tina Snow.
Just as the world began to catch on to Megan Thee Stallion she switched it up introduced us to her alter-ego “Tina Snow.” Megan’s EP “Tina Snow” gave us hit like Freak Nasty and Big Ole Freak. Big Ole Freak has now been viewed over 38 million times on YouTube and has reached as high as number 6 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Watch Megan’s first Billboard hit Big Ole Freak (below)
