With the NBA All-Star Game being played tonight, and with it being Black History Month too, it’s only right to highlight a very important African-American in NBA All-Star history. A man by the name of Don Barksdale was the first black pro player to play in an NBA All-Star Game back in 1953. Barksdale was a player for the Washington Bullets team when he got selected to play in the big game.
