It’s not like we didn’t know that a lot of the beauty products we use are hazardous, but I wanna stress to you how risky it is! Did you even know tho? Well, either way, it’s time to stop gel manicures!

Yes, the wear is longer and the polish is shiny and more attractive but are you willing to die for quicker drying nails? That’s the million dollar question. Or maybe the question that makes you realize your life value.

The process of getting gel nails exposes you to unnecessary UVA rays, which are exactly the one’s dermatologists tell us to protect against all year long.

Gel manicures are cured (or set) by putting your nails under a lamp that uses UVA radiation. These are the same rays that account for up to 95 per cent of the UV radiation that reaches the earth’s surface, and are responsible for premature aging of the skin. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, UVA contributes to and may even cause skin cancer.

Are you willing to take the risk? If you want to be cancer free and cute try vegan polishes and a good ole fashion fan to dry them.
