St. Louis gets one of Amazon’s first Missouri fulfillment center. County Executive Steve Ehlmann celebrates the “investment” for St. Peters in a spirited press conference captured by KMOV in the video above.

What you need to know:

  • The new fulfillment center is expected to provide more than 1500 full-time jobs
  • The center is 800,000 square feet in size
  • features innovative technology like Amazon Robotics to help employees fulfill orders
  • The St. Peters warehouse will be located at Premier 370 Business Park
  • Groundbreaking on the facility is scheduled to start by the end of March, with the center expected to open on May 1, 2019
  • Amazon currently has a sorting center in Hazelwood
