ST. LOUIS – According to the American Lung Association, they released the New American Lung Association report and it was found that Missouri is ranked as the sixth highest state for lung cancer rates in the U.S. and ranks low for early detection. The association also went on to say that in Missouri, only 18 percent of lung cancer cases were diagnosed at early stages when it is most likely to be curable.

The report also revealed that while Kentucky is the highest in the nation – Utah was found to hold the lowest rates.
