Kendrick Lamar is being sued over the use of a Bill Withers sample. The song in question is Kendrick’s “I Do This” on his 2009 project Kendrick Lamar EP. Bill’s legal team doesn’t want Kendrick to use the song anymore and calls for damages.

The copyright infringement suit, filed today in a federal court in Los Angeles, claims Lamar rapped over a “direct and complete copy” of Withers’ music, Reuters reports. The complaint says Lamar has “admitted” to using the song, “with a thumb to the nose, catch me if you can attitude.”

Top Dawg Entertainment and Warner Bros. are also listed as defendants in the suit.
