ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – St. Francois County deputies spent hours on Tuesday combing the streets of the Farmington area, searching for a suspect in a shooting that happened just west of Farmington city limits Tuesday afternoon.

It all began at a flea market on State Route 221, just before 3 o’clock.  That’s when some residents say a fight broke out near storage sheds surrounding the vendors.

Police say it ended with a 39 year-old Farmington resident shot in the upper back with a shotgun.  Luckily the wound wasn’t life threatening, and the victim immediately drove himself to the Convenience Barn, just down the street, to call for help.
