Yep you read it correct superstars Jay Z and Beyonce have lost rights to Blue Ivy, the name that is :). Jay and Bey wanted to trademark their daughter’s name but the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office said a Boston-based wedding-planning company named “Blue Ivy” is allowed to continue operating under the name. The wedding company was started in 2009 and Bey’s bundle of joy “Blue Ivy” was born this year. The owner of the wedding company said

“I can’t be frustrated with something I think is going to bring me to produce and define my brand even more, which is financially exciting in itself and intellectually exciting as well, it’s like they caused me to create more opportunity for myself.”
