ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – The last of the five inmates who escaped from the Pike County Jail in Bowling Green is back in custody. He was caught by St. Louis county police at the Oak Forest Apartments right off Lindbergh and Page near Maryland Heights.

Investigators say they got a call from a resident at the complex about 9:40pm last night saying there was a suspicious person in the area. When county police found him, it turned out be the escaped inmate.That escapee now back in custody is William john Thomas Wilkerson, Junior.  He is 40 years old and is from Florissant.

Investigators say Wilkerson was being held for failing to appear on a charge of stealing anhydrous ammonia back in 2008.  County police say there was a short foot chase when officers spotted Wilkerson but cops were able to get him.  The other four inmates who escaped were…
