Heat-Up St. Louis Raises Dough

Heat-Up St. Louis, Inc., the regional, all-volunteer not-for-profit public education and utility charity covering Missouri and Illinois will host its 10th annual Hardee’s Rise and Shine for Heat fundraiser on Friday, February 11, during the breakfast hours of 6:00 – 10:30 a.m. and at about 60 area Hardee’s restaurants. About 450 area volunteers are needed to serve as celebrity hosts, welcoming the general public and taking extra donations. Hardee’s will donate all of its Sausage and Egg biscuit product and sell it for the special price of $1.00, and 100% will be given for utility assistance charity. Volunteers will join media celebrities, Arch Rival Roller Girls, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, Chair emeritus Rev. Earl E. Nance, Jr., aldermanic president Lewis Reed, police chiefs Tim Fitch and Dan Isom, St. Louis County executive Charlie Dooley, board president Lance LeComb, chairwoman Melanie DiLeo, Lt. Governor Peter Kinder, Hardee’s Jenna Petroff and Steve Lemley, and a host of local civic, business and political leaders, and a few surprise appearances.
