Police Sergeant Hurt In Police During Altercation

A Maryland Heights police sergeant was hurt after he was thrown from a pick-up truck while trying to stop potential drug suspects. Those suspects were arrested after a chase and a crash. Investigators say the sergeant suffered non-life threatening injures and is expected to be released from the hospital soon.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has issued warrants for the arrest of Terrance T. Norman, 19, for Robbery 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. These warrants result from an incident that occurred on Wednesday January 25, 2012, when Norman robbed an undercover officer at gunpoint.

A Belleville man is accused of beating a little girl to death on Friday. Police say 22-year-old Julian Gates killed 3 year old Mia Caito. Mia was his girlfriend’s daughter.

St. Louis police open fire on a suspect after he allegedly backs his car into a police cruiser and pulls a gun on officers. Fortunately no officers were hurt. But there were certainly some tense moments as police tried to get the guy into custody.
